A private customer who we have worked with previously asked us to build them a 72 metre long extension on their property in Outwood, Wakefield. This job has provided many obstacles which we have had to overcome; including halfway down when digging the footings, we discovered a huge pot oven about 12 foot in diameter and we had to break it out. Then underneath this, we found a 45 gallon oil drum full of oil and water which we then needed to remove.
As well as all this and completely unrelated to our building works, a building inspector attended site and informed us that the left hand side at the back of the original building was subsiding. So we then had to underpin the property while we were still carrying out our works.
*These works are still being undertaken; keep an eye out for the finished extension.*
